A shadowy blot within the sky, the Fell Moon moves furtively through the sky. It is on the Fell Moon that the Shadowfell is located. Like normal 4th edition cosmology, the Shadfell is a reflection of the world. If you leave to the Shadowfell through a shadow crossing next to a lake in Everdusk, you will likely arrive next to the lake within the Shadowfell. In a matter of moments, such a portal or crossing takes one through the aether, transporting him or her thousands of miles up to the Fell Moon. The Fell Moon waxes and wanes, locked interminably in a binary orbit with the Fey Moon. The Fell Moon’s influence is felt in the world. When the Fell Moon is full, undead stir, shadows seems longer, and night seems darker. Because the Fell Moon is a physical thing within the sky, one need not cross through a portal to get there. Airships, particularly the powerful spelljammers, travel between Everdusk and the Fell Moon. People and cargo are transported to and from the Fell Moon, though not nearly so regularly as to the Fey Moon.
